70 years after Bisazza’s beginning, a truly iconic installation by the Italian designer Fabio Novembre celebrates the event as a new phase in the brand’s evolution, characterised by a renewed creative energy.
‘Io’ is a specially commissioned work which was revealed during the recent Milan Design Week. The sculpture, encased in the new SMALTO PURO mosaic, is a monumental statement of new growth and future possibilities.
“I asked myself a very simple question: what does it mean to design for a brand celebrating its 70th anniversary? An anniversary isn’t just a celebration, but a moment of transition, an opportunity to reinvigorate the brand. Bisazza was born from a tiny gesture: a single tile. A small unit capable of building surfaces, images, and architecture. Something minuscule that, when multiplied, becomes a universe. I wanted to start from there. That’s why the heart of the project is a child.”
