CANVAS mosaic has a mesh-like surface texture, reminiscent of fabric weft. This interwoven effect is obtained by adding high-melting point powders to colour the glass. The powders do not melt completely, giving the tile its uniquely tactile veneer.
FLOW mosaic is characterised by its distinctly wavy surface texture which is created by using a special mould. A range of pure, opaque colours is available, produced by oxides that fuse completely with the glass. The addition of sand to the pâte de verre gives a light, sand-blasted style surface texture.
GLOSS tesserae have a unique, iridescent surface of constantly shifting hues. They are available in a range of pure, opaque base colours, produced by oxides that fuse completely with the glass. Whilst still incandescent, the tiles are carefully treated with a surface coating which produces the iridescent effect.
Like the GLOSS series, GLOW mosaic has a uniquely beautiful, iridescent coating but with a wavy surface texture which catches the light from different directions. The tiles are available in a range of pure, opaque base colours, from oxides that fuse completely with the glass.
The LE GEMME series is a luxurious, one-of-a-kind mosaic, fashioned by expert hand-craftsmanship. Each unique tile is created using the aventurine process (a centuries-old artisanal technique passed down by the Murano glass masters). Coloured enamel granules and copper crystals mixed with brilliant metal oxides create a sparkling, golden flamed effect inside the tesserae.
OPERA is a transparent glass mosaic known for its non-uniform distribution of colour. Tesserae saturated with colour are randomly mixed with semi-transparent ones to create a uniquely varied surface. In the Matt version, the tiles display an elegant satin finish, while the sophisticated iridescence of the Gloss version is achieved by adding a special coating to the incandescent glass.
This highly prized mosaic is made of through-body coloured, sintered glass enamel. It retains all of the qualities of glass mosaics but is much more durable, making it well-suited for use on floors, even in high-traffic areas, both indoors and out. The Matt version is treated with a satin finish that is also non-slip and therefore ideal for areas such as the borders of swimming pools or in spas.
ORO BIS is fashioned with 24 kt gold foil (Oro Bis giallo) or a gold and silver alloy (Oro Bis bianco) inserted between two protective layers of glass. The precious metal and the artisan-crafted process make this collection extremely luxurious. The tesserae are compatible in shape and thickness with other Bisazza glass mosaic collections, allowing them to be used in blends and patterns.
PLATINO BIS mosaic is made of 100% platinum. This means the tiles can be fully guaranteed against oxidisation, making them ideal for use in swimming pools, spas and all applications where water is constantly present. The tesserae are compatible in shape and thickness with the Bisazza glass mosaic collections, allowing them to be used in blends and patterns.
Especially vibrant, shimmering colours are characteristic of the SMALTO range. Using artisanal techniques, enamel granules are added to the glass where they colour the tesserae with an elegant flamed effect. SMALTO MATT tiles are treated with a refined satin finish.
VETRICOLOR is an opaque glass mosaic known for its rich, vibrant hues. To achieve absolute purity of colour, oxides are used that fuse completely with the glass. The addition of sand to the pâte de verre during the colouring phase, produces a light, sand-blast style surface texture.
VINTAGE is an enamel glass mosaic with retro charm; a tribute to the earliest Bisazza collections of the 1950s. The tesserae are intentionally uneven, with surface imperfections, non-linear edges and subtly nuanced colours.
